Not Shot Clock

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 22, 2026

The short version: Not Shot Clock doesn't collect, store, or send any personal data anywhere. It's a countdown timer that runs entirely on your device.

Data collection

Not Shot Clock does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically, the app:

Camera and local network access

The app includes an optional, in-development Auto-Detect feature that can use the camera to watch the table and automatically start or stop the shot clock. This feature is not yet enabled in the app's visible settings. If and when it is enabled, camera data is processed entirely on your device to detect motion — it is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere. The app also uses your local network, when you choose to, to find and connect to Chromecast devices so you can display the timer on a TV; this works the same way any Chromecast-enabled app does, and no data about you is sent to us as part of it.

Data stored on your device

The app saves your chosen "time per shot" value, and whether Auto-Detect is enabled, locally on your device only, using standard iOS local storage. This value never leaves your device and is never sent anywhere. It's deleted automatically if you delete the app.

Third-party services

The app loads typefaces (Rajdhani and Space Mono) from Google Fonts over the internet when it first opens, purely for display purposes. As with any web request, Google may log standard technical information such as IP address as part of serving that request; this is governed by Google's own privacy policy. The app also uses Google's Cast SDK to support casting to Chromecast devices. We do not send Google, or any other third party, any information about you beyond what's needed for these standard requests.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
